Winter fun in the Tirol is unlimited.

With over 1,000 lifts skiing fans can reach the highest peaks in comfort and have a fling on some 3,500 kilometres of superbly prepared pistes. Afterwards groovy mountain huts or spacious hotel wellness areas are there for relaxation. Anyone in search of other entertainment can choose their own highlight from a wealth of events. This winter, too, the Tirolean skiing areas have interesting, agreeable and enticing innovations in store.

ST ANTON’S NEW RENDL-BAHN OPENS
Major developments are currently underway in St Anton on the new Rendlbahn, with the opening still on track for December 2009. The key improvement is that the base station has been moved to a new location at the existing bus station close to the Galzigbahn. The new 8-seater gondola, with heated seats, will be able to carry up to 2000 people an hour in only seven and a half minutes, making it over a third faster than the original 1974 Rendlbahn. Linking both the Galzigbahn and the Rendlbahn from a central location in the heart of the resort is a great triumph for skiers and boarders wanting to access the Rendl slopes.
